    Hi from P3T3R!

    Hi!

I'm Peter. I'm from Margao, Goa.

I was born and brought up in Goa and have lived there most of my life.

I've done my schooling and junior college in Goa and further studies in Chennai and UK.

    I'm a seafarer by profession.

I work as a Captain on board Chemical Tankers.

I have been a part of the old PUG for a while and just received a mail to join this forum.

I am only too glad to join. Obviously my passions have to include Cars & Bikes.

I've been reading all the Auto Magazines since my school days.

I read the road test of the RD 350 and decided I had to have one.

In fact my first bike was a RD 350, though I learnt riding on a Bajaj M50 and then rode my friends RX100, my brothers KB100 and my sisters Sunny and Kinetic Honda before getting my own RD.

After that I've owned a CBZ, a RX100 and currently an Activa and an Enfield 350.

I learnt driving in a Hindustan Trekker.

Then I drove a Tempo Trax and a Premier Padmini before buying my very on Fiat Uno.

This decision was made based on the comparison between the Zen and the Uno in an Auto Magazine.

Despite everyone advising me against a Fiat, I went ahead and bought it.

    I never regretted it.

I sold it after doing almost a Lakh Km and bought a "New Siena" 1.6 ELX (Later re-named Petra), which I was still using till a few months ago.

I'm am regretting selling the car.

During my time in UK, I owned a Ford Escort (Worst Car) and an Audi 80.

Currently I just own a Hyundai i10 which my wife uses.

I wanted to buy a Punto but she didn't find the seating position very convenient.

So even though I currently don't own a Fiat, I still feel a part of the family.

In fact my first car ride was in a Fiat. After I was born, I was brought home in Dad's Fiat 600.

    This was basically the original 500 with a 600 cc engine. Dad owned 3 of them, a 600 and 2 600D's. The 600D had a 750cc engine I think.

Besides that my brother owned a Palio 1.2 till recently.

That's why I beleive "The only people who have a problem with Fiat, are those who have never owned one".

Some of you will know me by my same user name in other popular forums as well a pedrolourenco who was banned from one particular forum for being a "Fiat Fanboy" as they called it.

    Welcome aboard Peter!!

You don't need to own a FIAT to be part of the gang at MFW. Your experience with FIATs thus far is suely something that will add value to this forum.

And to add to the resume, you are from Goa.

You cannot go wrong when you say you are from Goa

    Hi Peter,

A Very Warm Welcome to MFW from GOA.

I always felt there was a real shortage of Goans in our home now I am happy to start with we have 1.

Ryan Almeida from PUG an old timer was another but he has vanished from the face of the PUG Earth and dont know his where abouts.

He had a Palio 1.9D and his dad owned a garage in Goa and Ryan was pretty active and used to help a lot of friends in the forum.

Yesterday late night at 2 AM I cleaned your entire post which you had dumped as a big chunck of an ice on Scotch cursing you for every line while I was rearranging it and feeling extremely happy that I atlast have a Goan friend now when I come to Goa! apart from my elderly Goan couple Monterios who live in Mapsa and are just like my parents and I visited them during 2008-2009, I am now working on my very 1st travelogue in the Tours & Travel Under Experiences Heading in which I passed through Goa and stayed with them.

You will still be known as are our FIAT FANBOY here 2.

Have a great time. After late night I missed to add my comments & was waiting for the day to break to add something nice.

If you stay on with the forum rest assured this FIAT FLU will catch you for sure.

    WR,
    MN

Yea I know that. Even though I currently don't own a Fiat, I'm still a Fiatian by heart. I'll planning on picking up a new car shortly. Unfortunately Fiat does not have anything above the Linea. I wish they had launched Alfa Romeo in India. The Ferraris are a bit too overpriced for common people like me!

I will more than make up for that shortage.

What's the name of the Garage and where is it located.

Give me a buzz next time. You have my number. If it's switched off means I'm at sea.

Tell that to our Honda fanboy (you know who). He won't be too pleased that Honda Siel is being declared a sick company while Fiat is still surviving.
