Yes, this is when Fiat started to dig its grave and only to get rescued by MJD later on

and yes, cent per cent for the excellent write up! Am sure, even many enthusiasts wouldn't know of. I only got to know about the record number of bookings during the early Nano days. Nano was all set to break this record, and couldn't!

2.9L is a super huge number even to this date. Then 2.9L is atleast equivalent to some 29L today as it wasn't still the time when anyone could buy a car

Remembr my trip to ooty long back. When 800 struggles to pull in ghats uno came to rescue. 6 members in uno and it simply pulls it easily. At that time i dont like the look but later started to like it. Never thought a box can made it to looks beautiful.

    Nice article sid...

Very informative and excellent article !!!
UNO was a very good car . Compact yet spacious and good build quality . If things would have gone right , it would have surpassed the Zen !!!!

Well written. I am currently restoring my Uno. It was my first car and one of the first few sold in Goa.
The only people who have a problem with FIAT are those who have never owned one!

Both the Siena and Uno look so desirable. Uno looks different i the jellybean crowd. I have some fond memories with this car.
