Amaron DIN-55 for Palio 1.3 MJD - Details

    Dear MFW Team,

I happened to replace the OEM Exide DIN-50 battery with the Amaron DIN-55 battery this weekend.
    Below are the details

    1. Total Cost - Rs.5100 (Includes old battery buy back amount + the 2% surcharge on Credit Card. Had to haggle a bit for this though! )
    2. Battery - Amaron DIN-55
    3. Warranty - 4 years
    4. Dealer - Exide Manjushri Battery
    Sanjay Nagar, Bangalore.
    Ph - 9886064239,080-23510599

He also had the 1.5 year warranty DIN-55 from Exide and the 5 year DIN-55 from Exide as well.
He quoted Rs.6200 for the 5 year Exide DIN-55 (including old battery buy back amount)

I had some apprehensions about the DIN-55 fitting into the DIN-50 slot. Thankfully, the battery plate was slightly big enough. It was a perfect fit!

    Regards
    Naveen

The simplest way to resize your pics, if you use Windows XP is to Open them in MS PAINT.
and just do "Save as". in jpg format, it would reduce atleast by half.

FOR multiple pics, I use "pixresizer" easy to use free tool. with this you can Resize the image significantly.

    Cheers

DIN-55 Against DIN50. The Black battery is the Amaron DIN-55 while the other guy is the Stock Exide DIN-50.

    I have fitted DIN 66 - Amron in MJD & DIN 50 in Palio 1.9 D,

Now I am thinking of interchanging them,

It would be better that 1.9 D with higher cranking current need- get a DIN 66 & for MJD is feel DIN 50 is good enough,

Although DIN 55 suits better not only for Palio MJD but also for Punto & Linea diesel,

@Anubhav22: fitted DIN 55 in Linea & the car is doing good,

    Thanks & Regards

    YES CHIEF
I also changed my Exide DIN 50 to DIN 66 in my PALIO 1.9D recently

DIN 50 is little small for 1.9D specially if u have power window which can drain your battery when engine is not start.

    Thanks & Regards
